Description
NEW BOOK!
If you’re longing for more of Jesus and a real-life example of what a prayer-soaked, faith-filled, and Spirit-led life with Jesus can become, this newly released life’s story and testimony may belong on your shelf and in your heart and mind.
In the Introduction, Dr. Duewel writes: “The prayer and desire of my heart is to live and serve ‘All for Jesus’… The faithfulness of God and others is so expansive and great that our best efforts to record them are inadequate… I pray that you too may be challenged to pour out the rest of your life ‘All for Jesus’.”

In an age of disappointing failure of far too many evangelical leaders, writers, and speakers, All for Jesus is a refreshing reminder that God has indeed graciously sustained a uniquely authentic voice. For countless thousands around the world Wesley L. Duewel is known primarily as a prolific author of deeply spiritual books and periodicals. Among those are a multitude who have actually been in attendance at his many decades of preaching and teaching venues. And amongst that multitude are those who enjoyed a personal relationship with this man of profound faith and prayer. For more than half of Wesley Duewel’s ninety-nine year sojourn on this earth I was privileged to be numbered with that truly blessed group. For me, All for Jesus adds context, texture, and fresh color to cherished memories that were beginning to fade.

As I read through the book, I could not help but think of the statement credited to D.L. Moody that the world is yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to Him. While it is certainly true that no one other than Christ has been perfect in such consecration, how grateful we can be for the examples of men and women whose lives approach that ideal and who give us a good idea of the tremendous impact God can make through such consecration to Him and His work. Brother Duewel was certainly one of those examples! The title “All For Jesus” is appropriate for this autobiography because that is how he lived his life and carried out the work entrusted to him. He lived with passion and purpose, and with full devotion to prayer and to the Word of God. And he did it for all of his life, even from early childhood until his dying breath at the age of almost 100 years. Praise God for such a lifespan of faithfulness and devotion! How grateful we can be for this record of his life, not just because of the inspiration we gain from his life and ministry, but even more so because of the reminder of how great our God is, and how faithful He is to work through the prayers and service of His people. In fact, the Lord is continuing to show His faithfulness to our dear brother in making this autobiography available as an extension of his ministry. I, for one, thank the Lord for touching my life through these pages, renewing my devotion to Him, to His Word, to the precious gift prayer, and to the Lord’s work. I trust that others who take this testimony to heart will be similarly encouraged, inspired and challenged to give their “all for Jesus.”

I hope All for Jesus is read by the multitudes who have been blessed by Dr. Wesley Duewel’s writings. His autobiography demonstrates a life that was All for Jesus—his life’s motto. Although known for his effective missionary service and his inspiring books, it was his hours and days of prayer that explain the success of all he did. To read All for Jesus is to be challenged to live a life that flows out of prayer.

All for Jesus is a riveting and inspiring life-story of the internal fire God lit in Wesley Duewel’s heart that set ablaze a life of white-hot love and action for God’s Kingdom. The world is blessed that God ordained Wesley to live just shy of a century. His life-changing prayers, powerful messages, purposeful engagements, and scores of books written and translated worldwide enabled so many people globally (my wife and I included) to run the race of faith with greater passion, purpose, and speed. I’m all-in with All for Jesus. I encourage you to read this book and allow God to ignite a unique heart on fire, life on purpose passion in you through Wesley’s story.

“Every time I read Wesley Duewel, my heart is lit on fire.” That’s what I tell people when I introduce them to the written ministry of Dr. Wesley Duewel. For over 40 years he has been one of my heroes of the holy life. In every one of his books, starting with Touch the World through Prayer, Wesley called me to a greater love for Jesus, a greater hunger to see the world come to know Jesus and a deeper yearning to spend more time in prayer interceding for spiritual harvest and revival fire. All for Jesus is Dr. Duewel’s remarkable story of how he Let God guide him Daily through nearly 100 years of life sharing God’s Great Salvation. His love for Jesus and his life of Mighty Prevailing Prayer, shines through in every page–contagious and inspiring! The reason my heart was lit up when I read Wesley’s writings is because he wrote from a heart Ablaze for God. May his story set your heart on fire for Jesus, too!

Reading All for Jesus was like taking a personal journey with someone I genuinely wanted to be with and know. Repeatedly I was brought to tears of praise and adoration for Dr. Duewel’s work in God’s great world Kingdom. As I read Dr. Duewel’s acceptance speech when he became President of OMS, my heart beat faster because I wanted every Christian worker, whether lay, ministerial, or missionary to be challenged anew by his earnest call. He wanted each one of us to be alarmed, challenged, and more dedicated.
I believe the enormity of his ministry helps to see what one person can accomplish. I am reminded of what the founder of OMS, Charles Cowman said, “The world is yet to see what God can do through a consecrated soul . . . providing he (or she) does not touch the glory.” Without a doubt, Dr. Duewel did beyond what was humanly possible, endeavoring not to touch the glory. I was mesmerized in worship and adoration as I read the manuscript . . . truly captivated and inspired.
